She believes in the importance of having a therapeutically competent therapist, and is passionate about creating an environment for her clients where they can address the unique mental and behavioral health concerns related to being a first responder, so that the heavy load they carry as a result of serving their community can be made lighter.
Jenée uses a collaborative approach. She is not the expert of her client’s life's story and she encourages clients to lead and have a voice during sessions. She also works from a lens of assisting clients to address not only the issue they come in with, but the root of the issue. She is trained in and uses multiple evidence-based therapeutic approaches to support which include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), Exposure Response Therapy (ERP), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), and Trauma Informed Care.
