Chris Soria, MA

Chris Soria, MA (PSB #94027731): is a registered psychological assistant supervised by Dr. David Bond PSY 32595. He began working for Focus Psychological Services in summer of 2020. His clinical experience includes working at the Institute on Violence Abuse and Trauma (IVAT), Veteran’s Village of San Diego (VVSD), Paradise Valley Hospital, and Bayview Behavioral Health Hospital.  Chris has counseled military combat veterans working through substance abuse and trauma related issues at the Veteran’s Village of San Diego.  Chris is entering the final year of his doctoral studies in clinical psychology, Psy.D.  Chris was a sworn police officer for 29 years.  Chris was an active member of his department’s peer support team for over 15 years.  Chris is a student board member of the Center for Integrative Psychology.  He has an interest in providing services to his clients that best fit their individual needs.  Chris plans of continuing to serve his first responder brothers and sisters as well as their families after graduation.  

Chris’ therapeutic approaches include integrating mindfulness, cognitive-behavioral, acceptance and commitment, and existential therapy.
